Weirdly it still uses the 3.5 NA V6 instead of the new 2.5T 4-pot.

I'm questioning to why the 3.8L NA V6 (which are certainly sufficient) is still in the Palisade/Telluride when there are more potent powertrains - again assuming Kia/Hyundai wants a path towards steering customers to Genesis...

Think they'll want to save that powertrain for a higher-end model (i.e. K900/K9, Stinger?)

I think the 3.8L in the Palisade/Telluride will likely be phased out in the upcoming facelifts.
