Default 2022 Kia K8 (Cadenza)

Funny that they announce this after cancelling it here in the U.S. It also looks like it'll be the first new Kia to debut with the redesigned logo.

That’s not a bad looking Korean car. I like the front end. Where is the interior and engine specs?

sedans are dead in the US so this is not surprising!
looks like a nice exec sedan but i'm not too sure about the C/D pillar design accent. at least they didn't go with the normal, unaesthetic, trend; where the side glass/trim/accent color pinches and meets the back glass.

Sharp overall. Stinger front half meets Avalon rear.

Nice, but likely not coming to the U.S.

Exterior much better-looking than the whale-grille Avalon.....although I can't comment on the interior because I haven't seen it yet.

I agree with bit that we probably won't see it in the U.S....I'm certainly not holding my breath. Nevertheless, I hope they keep up the solid quality of the interior materials and construction (areas that most Korean vehicles have done very well in between about 2000 and just recently), and don't backslide like on the latest Sonata, which IMO is very disappointing.

I'm confused by the K8 designation. The Cadenza was the Korean K7. Is this an upgrade from the K7 or a new model?

Elegant new styling, but Kia needs to redesign their new logo. It just looks like jagged letters, while most other competitors have one symbol for easy recognition.

It was renamed from the K7 to K8 because apparently Kia wants to reflect the car moving upmarket in its domestic market, which is primarily what it's designed for.

The press release said something interesting. Apparently the grille is frameless and molded as a single-colored piece with the bumper.
At the front sits a new signature frameless ‘tiger nose’ grille that gives the K8 presence and authority. The frameless grille, which is integrated within the front bumper to give a clean yet expansive look, features an intricate diamond lattice designed to express the movement of light. The front lamps include a turn signal that resembles a star could.

This will be quite the car if Kia can pair that new 2.5T from the K5 GT and Sonata N-Line, which all have the same platform, with AWD.

A little too fancy looking for a four cylinder motor. A sheep in wolfs clothing

Looks pretty good. I see some similarities with the Mirai, which I really like.

The front grill is interesting with it being once piece with the front fascia. Depending on how they pull it off, it could either look amazing or really cheap.

that’s a great point! Zoom in a bit and it isn’t encouraging.
