Again, not a ringing endorsement considering the money you spent. The infotainment should be insanely great for that price!

What do you want it to do? Change the radio...display my cover art...and show navigation.....It does all of that. I want it to work...for the lifetime of the car. I still have hard buttons for the most stuff like climate....

Like I said earlier, I want Toyota/Lexus to rate as good as Tesla's infotainment system. Tesla was the only company who rated "good" in Consumer Reports. Most manufacturers rated less than good and Toyota/Lexus rated poorly.

That is quite a lot of money, even in Canadian funny money dollars.

Ha. I paid $53K for my 2004. Both are limited. The prices have increased because of the safety features. New optitron display. New tire size for limited. New headlight and fog LEDs. Sadly I had no choice to get a 3rd row this time. I also got a few extra dealer add ons as well. There are very little discounts north of the US border. Very high demand. I also bought the 21 and had to wait till release date. Then had to wait 12 weeks. Also had to be blue.

So a question for you. What vehicle to do drive or own? I have never been able to tell.

I highly doubt anyone will ever score as high as Tesla.

I wonder how happy Tesla owners are in this case.

I bet super happy as they got a choice to upgrade. Once you buy a Lexus, you are stuck with the system you have unless you go aftermarket.

I knew you’d respond. Telsa then cut the price. Not sure if you get a previous refund

Not sure. Buyer beware. Same as buying a car with a certain option and the next year the option becomes free. I can't understand why having an upgrade option is a bad thing.

I didn’t really say it was bad. But it is unusual. Adding money to a depreciating asset is not something most people would do. Offering a cost to upgrade later on can be taken two way. You agree? For example, if I was offered the option of a locking differential for my 4R by the dealer in 2024 for my 2021, it would be very unusual.

I don't think many people bought it. The Model S buyers are typically the type to just switch to a newer car. Tesla tries new business models and tries different things than other car companies. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Model 3 owners can switch to a better hardware to enable FSD if they have the older version so it makes sense for some options as FSD has a huge margin.

Other manufacturers have done it. Mazda could retro fit Apple CarPlay for $500 if you had the older infotainment.

You don't seem to have a signature at all.....Oops, I apologize. I see you do have one, with very small type.

I won't (and can't) credit for the one I have.....my computer graphic-skills aren't that good. Remember Seize? He put together the one that I have, a number of years ago, because he thought it would be fit.

Here's one you might like, if it can be blown down to signature-size...........
