It’s quite possible that Apple Music is embedded in the system.

Confirmation of rumours upcoming SUV’s are RWD and include in-line 6, PHEV power plants.

Directly from Toyota’s worldwide website

2.4 awd

. Additionally, the electronically controlled full-time AWD constantly varies the front/rear driving force distribution from 75:25 to 50:50 (depending on situation), and uses unique technology to achieve both an optimal contact patch and linear steering feel.
the 2.5

The AWD system has a constantly variable front/rear driving force distribution ranging from 100:0 to 50:50,

not sure that has any relevance to this thread.

C&D tested the 350.

Tested: 2022 Lexus NX350 Goes for the Middle Ground

Those who were hoping for the 2.4T specs to be "underrated" from earlier in the thread are going to be disappointed, it's pretty sluggish like the 2.0T.

I'm really out of date with performance figures, but I assume 0-60 in 6.6 is quite slow, if my 30 year old 911 can beat that figure.

Nonetheless, I'm really excited for the Plug In Hybrid powertrain as it should be available for our next RX when our lease is up. Assuming it really does get 36 miles of EV range.

Wow. For the claimed power I don't understand why it's not faster. In addition it's not fuel efficient compared to its competitors. Pretty disappointing. Would rather they put the 15 yr old V6 in it since it seems it would get similar mpg, faster and probably more reliable.

The V6 wouldn't fit that small hood and would be massively taxed in Europe and China. It's definitely a better engine though.

because it's a 6 cylinder? Since if I recall correctly it gets similar mpg.

I don't see why it couldn't fit. A variation of that V6 was in the 3rd gen rav4, I think they could design it where it could fit without much issues.
edit: not sure if the 10 speed trans is bigger than the 6 speed in the 3rd gen rav4.

Europe and China tax by engine displacement, not MPG. That's why you see all brands moving to turbocharged engines.

makes sense. That's how it's done in my home country too.

I'm sorry, but the C/D results is pathetic. Either Toyota is putting emphasis on fuel economy over performance or they are way behind in turbo engineering. If it is the latter, now we know why Toyota is lobbying government bodies to slow down evs.

6.6 secs is more than adequate for the target market of the NX. Lexus tends to prioritize linear power delivery and longevity. Won’t be surprised if this becomes a segment sales leader just like the RX.

This is spot on. Lexus has never been the fastest at anything.

Me neither. Lexus has sold over 1 million of the previous gen…this is gonna be a massive sales hit

the gs400 in 1998 was the fastest midsized luxury sedan available. So what you said is incorrect.

It probably will be. Doesn't change that is one of if not the slowest in the class with one of if not the worst fuel economy. It would have been good to have either performance or economy. We have neither.
