I mentioned here (or elsewhere), that sister who's a Lexus fanatic since birth (she cultured my interest in the brand, owns NXh/RXh/LC-C), was shown this car back in August 2019 as part of a consumer clinic. She was very hesitant to describe it to me, due to the nature of my work and signing an NDA (odd). Turned out as I expected, although the revolutionary description was not quite.
It looks good INSIDE-out. All the complainers everywhere about the interior seem to be oblivious of the fact that the GS was supposed to debut an all-new Lexus design language in the summer of 2019 as a 2020 model.
The Mirai hijacked that vehicle, hence the similarities to this. interior. Bear in mind Toyota was reviewing final designs for this program in 2017 and it ended up running late beyond MY2021.

Time runs very well ahead in the automotive industry, where 2024 model = we finished that design in October 2020. It's all about their frame of mind THEN and not so much TODAY unfortunately. Someone just liked that design and went with it. I will be reporting on the 2022 NX's design process next year, when Lexus allows me.
@Carmaker1 I feel like I know a totally famous celebrity now that I know that you (seem) to be behind the Lexurious YouTube channel - haha. I watched your announcement when you were able to take the channel and leave your job selling Lexuses if that's indeed you. Good for you - fantastic reporting. If that isn't you, your history still shows fantastic reporting.

Whoa lol, Lexurious isn't me. But I seem to recall such an individual on YT. I don't work for Lexus, but they do limited release on development stories on new models, closer to launch. Such sensitive info is never really for free, public consumption. But thanks so much honestly, I appreciate and respect it.
I have a problem with them calling it a nx350h as the Es300h has the same engine. There is nothing 50 that is additional. In Japan the Es300h can be had in 4wd and they don’t call it an es350h.
We were talking about the NX450h+, the plug-in hybrid. The extra "150" is due to the much larger motor-generator and traction battery that comprises the electric part of the hybrid system. On the Rav4 Prime the extra power is available even if you never plug it in.
As for the renaming of the NX300h to NX350h, we'll have to see whether the change in nomenclature is also do to a larger motor generator/battery, or if it's simply a marketing decision.

Im going to guess its a marketing decision, just as when they did the 200t to 300t just to match the C300/330i. Now, Mercedes is using the 350 nomenclature for their turbo 4. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3 series will be renamed the 335 soon. But it is likely that the 4 cyl option will be called the NX300, so because the hybrid is "extra" it has to move up by 50.

or maybe they will use the system they have in Highlander and add extra power compared to Rav4, so it wont be 300h anymore, but rather... 350h?

Lexus already registered NX350, which should be 2.4l turbo with 300hp. NX350h will be 250ish hp Hybrid.
Minimalist interior designs. All variations of what Tesla has popularized.
Also, it's not like the previous NX screamed top notch luxury either.
Overall, I'm okay with it, but would welcome some small improvements.

It is one model that can sell good in every part of the world, and it does already.
