Is it possible that there was always gonna be a Mirai but on top of that...there would also be a Lexus version. It makes no sense for Toyota Motor Corp to just make one model.

No. Lexus got cheapened in recent years by the way they themselves designed and built their vehicles.......not because of any Toyota equivalents or non-equivalents.

Sure there are. One of them is the problem of getting hydrogen-refills for them outside of California.

Except you have to pressurize hydrogen to 10,000 psi. It takes an exceptional amount of energy to do that...about ~2-3x more energy than filling up an equivalent BEV. The grid will need approximately 30% more electricity to supply BEV on a national scale or 60-90% more for hydrogen.

Was being sarcastic. I've heard what are normally very smart people repeat the "most abundant" trope without ever making the distinction between amount and what is viable. Jupiter is 75% hydrogen should we consider our energy needs solved?
