obviously you're free to think that!

but i think this new one is better in every way, more modern, more streamlined, no funky front fender bulges, no cheesy rear lights, etc.

edit: oh and congrats on username change, just realized

If you haven't noticed I'm very resistant to change my first reaction is generally, nah like the old one better. In a few months I'll know for sure. How about a poll, like the new one better yes/no

My username was too long like the new one way better.

So you are the former Lexus2000 then? I didn't really notice it until you brought up the subject of the new ID...but, since you mention it, it does look like the old avatar-image and Alberta/Canada address.

I like the old one. But I also like the new one. Happy Toyota is still doing this of 2 door car.

the front end reminds me of jaguar F type but I think it looks good. But why are they still using NA four cylinders.

I wish they would offer a turbo version of this or the BRZ.

Nice improvements all around, should go over well.
However the taillights are a letdown. Honda Accord Coupe styled there, which has been played out for about a dozen years already. Easy opportunity missed.

Subaru does not want the power of the BRZ to get too close to the WRX and Toyota does not want the GR86 to get too close to the Supra 2.0T.........which make sense.

Yet oddly smitten with all things Tesla. just kidding, it's all good.

my first reaction is generally, nah like the old one better. In a few months I'll know for sure.
and my first reactions are usually, wow, makes the old one look so old.

Sounds good, but maybe this thread needs renaming too.

GR86 is opposite of pocket rocket as it is slow and momentum car built for pure handling.

RNM - not everything's about rocket-ship performance.

It's lighter (i think), more powerful, faster, looks way better, is MUCH stiffer chassis... way better interior. Should be an absolute blast to drive.

Mazda, you got competition!
