Nearly everything is selling better right now, so one cannot point directly to a vehicle's merits as a sole reason.
Having said that, I think this will still sell well. Basically as MM mentioned, the segment is hot. But I personally think the Maverick is much more attractive (mainstream) and will be more appealing to the masses. It is a modernized Ford Explorer Sportrac, which never should have been cancelled. The lower pricing will also lead the way.
