the new cars look exactly alike
Let’s go back 20 years.
there was no mistaking the difference between an LS430, GS430, ES300, SC430, IS300, etc.
now I can’t tell the difference, when looking at the front, between any of their non-SUV models. I don’t have a trained eye however and haven’t bothered researching any of them in depth.

At a glance I can’t tell the difference. When looking closer, the subtle differences come out, such as the difference in side scoop bumper contour, or the painted grille trim where it meets the edge of the hood on one model vs the other. Otherwise it looks like the design equivalent of doing a save-as and changing a few small parameters and calling it designed.

At a glance I can tell the difference between models of basically any carmaker, but especially Lexus. They have a family resemblance but I would never confuse one for the other.

The big grille disease will finally end when everything is EV.
Audi, Lexus and now BMW, Genesis are all guilty of gimmicky design rather than actually try to make something that fits the car proportions.
MB has done a great job avoiding this mess.

To me it’s like spotting the difference between a Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager, and Chrysler Town & Country 😄

7series and LS500 grills are huge and gimmicky while Sclass is nice and classy.
LS grill is much bigger lol

The 7series grill goes over to the hood and just poorly executed imo, obviously not as bad as the beaver 4series.
Have you seen spy pics of the new 7? Now that will be very scary.

Totally agree, I don't see what the big deal is...and the W223 what makes it look odd is the grill sticks out and theres a painted gap between the grill and the hood.
