the fact that porsche (aka VW!) has pulled off a car this amazing and this soon should worry Tesla.

Isn't Tesla's mission to accelerate the future of transportation using sustainable energy? I think they welcome Porsche and others to try and exceed them. Tesla's response was to build the Plaid model and it sounds like a spaceship

Amazing car, with seemingly proper interior unlike the Tesla, but a reviewer in Russia only got 60 miles of range out of on a mildly cold winter day. He was driving it extremely aggressive, but that's what a Porsche is for.

I think they want to make the EV industry competitive so let the other companies try and surpass them. I think Tesla believes it will always up the ante and keep their competitive position. When a manufacturer has challenged them, Tesla seems to rise to the occasion (aka. Plaid vs. Taycan). It'll be interesting to see what Porsche does now. If they actually meet the specs of the Plaid with the Taycan, it will be higher performance than their halo 911 Turbo S.

Auto manufacturers spend tons of research money and resources to try and make quiet-running vehicles (or, in the case of BEV's, virtually silent) ...........and then devices like this are sold to make FAKE noise?

Is there really a market for this among EV drivers? I’d prefer a futuristic sound like a spaceship taking off or the Starship Enterprise powering up her warp engines

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S seems to have found the sweet spot for me.

Yeah...every time I see the new Taycan...to me it’s the most desirable EV out there. The EV hoopla will settle down and there will still be ICE cars.
