Taycan offers Exhaust sound package as an option i believe.

99% of performance cars pipe in the noise already so this is just taking it to next step.
In 50yrs - we will have a “pretend” steering wheel so we can rest our hand somewhere as Autopilot systems will prevent human control 👍

i thought this idea would have been in the aftermarket space by now!

there's an audi etron that drives by everyday when i walk my dog. that thing sounds so much like what i would think a UFO would sound like...very futuristic!

I know I'm in the minority, but when I see stuff like this (other than the mandatory low speed sounds for pedestrians), I can't help but roll my eyes at how stupid it is. But that's just me. If I want exhaust sound I would buy an ICE car that makes great exhaust sound (an LC500 or any proper V8 AMG car).

You are absolutely correct. It 's like people adding a spoiler to increase downforce on FWD car or fake air vent...........

I felt they missed the boat on this, thought so when Tesla first came around.

Half expected them to make the car with some sort of electrical/turbine/whoosing sound which sounded plausible.

It would be "cool" and maybe even help some make the transition from an ICE car.

To add an "exhaust" sound is pretty silly. Even the "electric exhaust" sound I'm imagining would be dumb, too late....obviously would be fake lol..

To each their own you know. Can't tell you how common flame stickers, fake fender vents or hood scoops are in my area. Some people go to town in places like pepboys and add as much shiny plastic as they can....its actually quite popular. I'll never understand, oh well. I'll also never down their choices....just my opinion is mods like this are plain awful.

So you can make it louder by doing the LS swap...of course it'll make it way slower and dirtier too.
