Bought my First Ever American Made Car!

YES!!!!! The customer/demographic they should have been chasing after was Lexus and higher end Benz cars with a ton of power and soft rides, not BMW. People don't want small/cramped/sporty riding Cadillacs. Don't give them lame 4 cylinder and V6 engines when you have IMO the world's best V8 engines installed in your pickup/suv line. Give people that great 5.3 V8 power standard, don't even try and compete in the under $40k price range, all your sedans should be as roomy as a Camry/Accord for the entry level model. I mean Dodge sells fairly well with a big 4 door sedan, honkin V8 for more than 50k. Get some of that mojo for Cadillac with a nicer interior.

Thanks! Yes, I'm really realizing that now. My detail guy even said he hasn't come across one this clean in a long time. I'm very happy with it so far. I took it on a 300 mile trip this weekend and it really shines on the highway.

They really did manage to give the 2nd gen Escalade its own swagger on the outside, the styling has held up well!!! The interior, well it reminds me of my 1995 Fleetwood, really nice seats/leather, everything else was kind of meh/decent enough, really didn't have the same swagger as the outside of the car.
Still though you found an REALLY NICE one, the Escalade wasn't the same old fogie demographic who hung on to their car forever and didn't drive it like other Cadillacs. You can literally trip over sub 50k mile/pristine 1980's/90's/00's Cadillacs like the Brougham, Deville, Seville. Escalades were usually traded in by their first owners after a few years and then saw indifferent care/abuse by their later owners.

something i've noticed about this escalade is for a giant vehicle there's really not much second row leg room!

This was an issue with big GM SUVs for a LONG time, this has just not been improved in the latest platform, but the many times I have ridden in Escalades and Tahoes and such as livery vehicles I have always been amazed by how cramped they are in the second row.

In the auto industry, that is what is known as "Tier" or "Theater" seating, which is purposely done to help shorter persons see forward better....and not have to stare at the back of the front seats for hours at a time on long trips. In some vehicles, it can compromise rear headroom, but vehicles of this size usually have very tall roofs to start wth.
