I don't know what this guy was in such a hurry for, but was it worth destroying his windshield?

With the bridge opening up like that, a couple more seconds and it would have taken the car (and him), too.



Car & Driver also did a story on it. That bridge apparently has a history of vehicle-jumping.

We have a few such bridges here in Miami and over the years they have put more gates and even change traffic light locations simply because they do not want to give anyone a run up even late at night even by motor bikes
