The small SUV is unlikely to appear in Europe or the US.

 

Probably what the C-HR should have been, which, IMO, is a joke.

Exactly my point. It should have been. The C-HR does not even offer AWD in the U.S.-spec version.

 

it’s like they took the ugliest design elements of every other trendy compact CUV, and mashed it all into one vehicle. Pass.

It says that Daihatsu is going to do a version of it as their latest Rocky. That suggests, to me, that, unless Daihatsu has switched the body-on-frame Rocky to a crossover design, this Toyota version will be a true off-roader. It was a long time ago, but the early-90s-vintage Rocky that was sold in the U.S. was a true off-roader, and competed with the Jeep Wrangler and the small Suzuki Vitara/Sidekick and Chevy/Geo (Suzuki) Tracker off-roaders.
