Congratulations on the Bimmer. After running around in a Versa Note for some time, I can understand your desire for an upgrade.
BTW, the 330/335 was always my personal favorite of the 3-series....more so than the M3 itself, which I found far too harsh and stiff-riding for everyday driving. The last-generation 335i was perfect.

That is a great point! I need to find a good place to get it hand-washed (at least, until we can get ourselves our own driveway...)
Ah, I never knew you had a Versa Note. You know, it was a good car overall. It never gave us any trouble and got great fuel mileage. However, refinement was not in its vocabulary. In the past few months it has started having a nasty rattle in the hatch area, and it was never a quiet car in terms of engine or wind noise. However, I think it served us well and got us through multiple longer trips no problem. Can't say I'll miss the driving experience though - the CVT is just "ew". The BMW is just in a different world. And I agree, not sure the M3 would have made sense to drive the mother-in-law around and stuff like that - even with this M Sport package, it's pretty sporty for a daily.

No, I have not owned one.....but I have sampled and test-driven them.
Don't be surprised if the insurance bill jumps a bit with the 330......although the fact that the Bimmer has a lot more safety features might help the policy somewhat.

Yep. We did the swap yesterday, and it resulted in a $277 increase in the 6-month premium. Seems justified.

I know right! I won't say what her age was, but let's just say her upcoming birthday is a milestone of sorts, and also, wanted to say thanks to her for being my coach during my recent job search. There were some days I was being negative, and she helped talk me through it. Can't stress enough how helpful that was for me and how fortunate I am. But yeah, the Versa was fine for the time we had it - time to upgrade!
