With the updated WLTP range and better than expected efficiency, Toyota should get an updated EPA rating in the US too. Do it the Tesla style not the Porsche Taycan style. Ha.
If the price is right, shaping up to be a decent option against the ID.4 and other non-Teslas.

spwolf, the bZ is selling for crazy prices in UK starting from 41,950 pounds.
Toyota bZ4X Review 2022 | carwow
This is often due to the limited supplies in rare earth metals like lithium and cobalt, and this will only get worse till a breakthrough in alternative battery chemistries arrive.

However, it seems that Ioniq 5 starts at 30,800 pounds?
Seems that Kia EV6 starts at 41,895 poungs?
However, the Kia looks horrible IMO.
While the Ioniq 5 has a much nicer exterior than the Kia, but the simple horizontal dash looks cheap IMO.
I'd have to go with the Toyota bZ which looks better outside and inside.

Toyota clearly isn't trying to be the "value option" here.

The answer to that is yes. Ioniq 5 is sold out probably for this year. It's a high demand vehicle, although the bZ's is not bad looking to me. Currently owning a 2020 Ioniq, the tech is very good, and that is also the appeal of the Ioniq 5 which is way better

It's a moot point how well they sell since Toyota isn't even planning to sell that many BZ's. They only plan to sell 60,000 globally its first model year. Most of those will end up in Europe and China while what's left for the U.S. will be compliance car numbers like the Mazda MX-30.

Even Subaru is only selling 10,000 Solterras globally, and they're all already booked.

Expect huge dealer markups like the RAV4 Prime, if you can even find one.

Ionic 5 is a cute looking hatchback. Really like the exterior. Interior..MEH. Weird stuff going on. Why is there no Hyundai badge on the steering wheel? The two display screen of the Ionic 5 already look ancient…Mercedes S class did that 9 years ago ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
‘’But back to bZ4x, it will be very well received
(I’m not a fan of where the screen is, but EV have to do these strange things for attention)
