Enough with Kirk's clickbait fake news. That's not a patent for a twin turbo V8, but a cooling process applicable across Toyota's engine lineup.

Squeezing the turbos within the engine block as opposed to on the side also allows for a more favorable packaging within the engine bay. Mercedes has been using this layout in their current generation of AMG cars in various tunes for a number of years now.
Interesting that Toyota will somewhat copy Mercedes in their engine design. I am sure Toyota will get the longevity correct. So Lexus IS F-sport gets the 5.0 V8, the the IS F get this new engine....very interesting offering from Lexus

Everything he does is fanboy conjecture. This guy has no sources, attends no events, and barely gets cars in for reviews 1-2 years later than everyone else. He is purely on the C-tier of auto-reviewers trying to add more subs with stupid videos all the time. He worked at a Lexus dealer for only about a year until the pandemic started. He has a spreadsheet to make it seem like he has credibility and research but even that is just based on the obvious or his fantasies.

He knows how to game the YouTube formula, no doubt inspired by the likes of clickbait masters like Scotty Kilmer. I doubt he himself believes the drivel that he spews, but he knows what the gullible kids in their $2,000 Civics and Camrys frequenting YouTube like to hear, and he makes his videos knowing they'll click on it and give him his monthly rent.

I honestly wish people like Carmaker1 had larger platforms so they could shut down this rubbish before every car journalist outlet hops on it.

Not long ago, we had a thread on the issue of Toyota/Lexus cancelling all further V8 engine development.
