Stellantis will give its brands 10 years to prove they deserve to live

Many owners think that power to all four wheels means you can thumb your nose at winter conditions........not the case. AWD is a definite aid in starting up from rest in slippery conditions and not getting stuck, but it will NOT help you steer, stop, or corner any better....that depends on the grip of your tires.
Which is why snow tires are so important

Just wait until the Chinese cars come - they will be much cheaper and will dominate the low end EV market in next decade. Most brands that we know today will not exist imo.

More than you think.....particularly in this area, where a lot of people don't know how to drive in snow. You come from a part of the country where severe winter storms are a fact of life, and many drivers are used to it. Down here, people buy Jeeps and AWD vehicles, think they know what they are doing in the uncommon deep snows when often they don't, and the result is predictable.

Back on topic, on the next 10 years of Stellantis, I think a good seller is going to be the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer when it hits the market.....although, of course, it will be competing with full-sized SUVs from Ford and GM (and, to a lesser extent, Toyota/Lexus and Nissan /Infiniti), that are already well-established on the market.

Jeeps bring pleasure to millions of people on and off road. I don't see them being driven any differently to anything else on road. You could say the same thing about all trucks because there's some jerks who drive noisy lifted ones aggressively but again, tiny percentage. I see bmw's and mustangs driven more aggressively than other vehicles but i don't wish they go away

I have too, but it is rare, at least when it comes to actual aggressive-driving.....most Prius models simply don't have enough power for it, and it takes them too long to get rolling.
It's not a complete stereotype, but Prius drivers are more likely to be snobbish, and think that they are the Planet's Saviours, because they drive an eco-friendly vehicle.

How has the US protected domestic market when the Japanese and Korean automakers pretty much have taken over.

I just find it amazing how the Chinese government tosses around all of the western $ hungry corporations and western governments just stand there and watch, doing nothing. It must have been easier than they thought it would be. I've never heard of a case where the western government has told any of the Chinese cotton manufacturers they have to partner up with western apparel brands to pave their way into Chinese market with no import tariffs in order to sell their cotton on the western market. That would just make too much sense.
Chinese car brands are coming (either repackaged or with their own brand) and they will be taking over the bottom of the barrel space while slowly moving into the bread and butter mid-price market In 30 years from now Civic will be a relic being replaced by some Chinese autonomous box.

What would be the alternative to the above?

Most of the Jeeps that I see are just going about their business like the rest of the traffic. I'm sure some Trackhawks or SRT's might get aggressive now and then but it's no different than other brands that have high performance models.
