Depends on if we see a new Cash-for-Clunkers program anytime soon. It's not a given by any means, but would probably be more likely under this administration than the last one.

so, with 13 brands in the US already shipping EVs and 13+ more announced to ship... that's a LOT of competition now and going forward.
i think tesla's going to have a real headwind against them, even though their sales will probably continue to grow due to overall EV demand growth.
competition:
model 3 - id.4, ioniq 5, others...
model y - mach-e, maybe eqc, ?
model s - audi etron-gt (wow)
tesla still has slight advantages on range (although some is exaggerated and in other cases the comparisons aren't 'fair' because competitors provide range numbers not including a reserve capacity, while tesla provides numbers for 100% of the battery).
tesla definitely has the 'uniqueness' factor (looks and features), although someone here the other day said they don't notice teslas any more because they're so common.
i still think the cybertruck will be a total dud.
the revised s/x will be nice, but just that, improvements to what they have. the Y sells the best (i think) because it's the most widely appealing, although i think the novelty wears off for some with the flinty ride and uber cheap interior.
i wonder what else tesla will do to combat the onslaught of competition.

What a lot of folks don't mention is that Tesla basically "forced" the legacy ICE manufacturers to get on board with the EV movement and believe it or not actually want this to happen. As strange as this may sound.
Great example is the F150 lightning. Tesla knows they can't sell as many CyberTrucks as an F150 EV and don't even expect to. Tesla wants the ICE manufacturers to succeed at making and selling EVs. It only helps them with their "mission".
I know you absolutely "love" the the design of the CT and so do tons of others, however the reservation numbers alone already validate that it's not a "dud".

Everyone who bet against Tesla has eaten their words to this point. Tesla sales will be supply limited for at least the next 3-4 years. They will lose share as EVs become more prevalent but their sales will increase. I'm happy that more Manufacturers are taking this more seriously now. More choice we have, the better for consumers.

Model S will never be produced, Model S is too expensive will never sell, Tesla will be bought out, once the legacy OEMs make EVs Tesla is finished etc.

Here's my take on the F150 EV. This is mostly about Ford saving face and keeping inventors happy. It's a "me too" product that in reality will be produced in relatively tiny numbers. Going forward I expect that to change but short term Ford doesn't have the battery supply to even come close to the volume of their ICE trucks. Another strike against the Ford is they are trying to keep traditional buyers happy but that results in brick like aerodynamics the last thing an EV needs.
I was hoping for a mostly clean sheet design like the Mach E, F150 EV is more of a shoehorn job.

Regardless if either Ford or Tesla actually has an adequate supply of computer chips or rare-metals to meet that demand, you will probably see more potential demand for the Lightning than the Cybertruck. The Ford name practically defines pick-ups.....although we've seen some recent impressive gains by the Ram.

Well, OK, no arguments there, but even the gasoline Rams (I haven't sampled a noisier Ram Cummins-diesel) have an advantage over their gas-powered competition in noise, as the Ram, at least in 1500 series, excels in quiteness/refinement and a smooth ride...particularly by pickup standards.
