Default to much oil in engine???

hi everyone, i do not have a lexus but i have a question about oil.
i have a mustang gt with the 5.0 and yesterday the shop put in 6 quarts and today i read it is only designed for 5 quarts, so i checked the oil and sure enuff it was like half an inch over the full marking on the dipstick. i will go back and have them remove 1 quart, do you think a day or 2 like this will hurt my engine? it does not run different, will i have blow bye??? thank you for a response

you can blow the seals in the engine pretty easily if the car has high mileage. if it doesn't, you can still blow the seals.

Just get a milk gallon, if nothing else, and drop the drain plug unti it is half full. then plug it back up.

yep. what he said..
when i was doing my oil the other day.
i put about 4 quarts in.. then put another 1/2 a quart. and i notice i was alittle too much over the full line
so i unplug the drain plug, and plug it back up. then my oil was 3/4 the way to full. Just perfect
