3 month check-in after used LX purchase

It's gonna be -2 degrees tonight. It's abnormal, just like the huge amount of snow.
Two brand new Trane gas furnaces to the rescue, lol.
Half the city with heat pumps are gonna just freeze.

What I'm saying is people have looked at me like I'm insane, all the people I have crawled by that were stuck. I have crawled by stuck vehicles that have 4WD, lol. I haven't even had to touch one thing off road wise, get into the crawl control, diff lock, etc. I got the brand new Yukon out today, and it's got good traction... but definitely not as good in the snow. Part of it are tires which aren't as good as mine on the LX, but the Yukon does not have this crazy advanced traction control that seems to defy physics like the LX570 does.
The roads that were never plowed are now are several inches solid ice and even still the thing is just unstoppable.
Nothing that non-car people would see on a big Lexus SUV that would hint that it could even go over a curb, let alone that it's a Land Cruiser designed for Antartica for 30 years haha.
It looks like a classy, expensive grocery getter. And the looks I get from people have been hilarious. People have gotten stuck, and I safely maneuver away from them and just drive on by.
I've also gotten nods from proper truck owners who probably do know the beast it is. Tons of Land Cruisers out in this but zero LXs other than me. There are also about 40 million GXs in West Knoxville and nobody is driving those either, what a waste.

Carplay is neat but I don’t think it’s a must have but that’s me.
My display is dated AF, but those things don’t bother me. It’ll last forever.
But I do utilize “Hey Siri” almost every drive for songs, etc. It’s always at the ready.

Primary roads have been cleared, but most of the neighborhoods are still covered, now with a top layer of ice. I have had no issues getting around in the GLS 450.

Re Tennessee snow......Around Nashville ours is still here. In the area we received 7-10 inches (which is more than our annual average) starting Sunday night, and most is still here. With low temps, it will probably be here until late Monday or Tuesday.

And yep, same here re: frigid tems and lingering snow. It's snowing now that wasn't predicted, who knows-- we may pick up more accumulation. There's a solid 8-9 inches in our yard that nobody has walked over etc.
