Nice seats and some nice materials but as hoovey's pic shows, the center stack is one hot mess with the ancient double screens. And the gauges by now should be digital.

Ok you're both wrong.

The "Q60" moniker first got applied to the rebranded G37... my gf has a 2015 Q60 which is the PREVIOUS gen car. She had a 2013 G37 before that (almost identical).

The completely revamped and current Q60 started as a model 2017 year car. Motorola, you're right it's a 2 door Q50 but didn't come out right away.

Agree! One of my all time favorite cars was my 1995 Q45a. I kept it for 4 years after ordering my LS. Finally the NE winter salt really did it in. I did shop a 2005 Q45 before opting for the LS, but that model marked the end of their real flagship car. The M45 didn't quite measure up in my opinion.

I know that it came out years after the Q50, but it's literally the same car as a Q50 but with less doors. Therefore, it was a dated car even when it first came out.

What's incredible is that even though the Q50/60 are both pretty dated, it was only two years ago that Infiniti finally discontinued the Q70, which has an interior and infotainment that dates back to the mid-2000s. By comparison the two screens were like a supercomputer.

I test drove the M37 for about 15 miles one day years ago. I though it was a pretty nice car overall. I didn't see much wrong with it. If something not broken, don't fix it. Infiniti must have thought nothing was wrong with it since from 2011-2019 it was the exact same thing. Minus the front grille change half-way through.

The FX-35 is a sweet SUV but unless you love feeling every single bump in a harsh ride, I would advise to stay away. Lol

My brother has one of the older Q's (can't remember which one) with this exact interior and layout. One thing they have better than Lexus, at least where the IS is concerned is seats. They are thicker and more comfortable. I could sit in those seats all day

Prior to being rebadged as the Q70, the M37/45 also had this incredible breeze-like climate control system that emulated forest air without using nasty perfumes like Mercedes. The car also had some of the most state-of-the-art driver assist systems when it first came out. It's like from the 2010's onward Infiniti just gave up.

Infiniti didn't update it because nobody was buying it to justify the investment. Sales were abysmal. Keeping it on sale was another in the long list of Infiniti's poor financial decisions that lead the company to its current sad zombie-like state.

Just verified that my brother has a 2007 M37S. As I mentioned above, the interior and cabin is exactly like the picture you posted. It drives...eh OK. Very smooth, comfortable cabin. The best part are the seats. They are very thick and padded. Probably one of the reasons the car is so heavy

That was a nice interior design, if the Q60 had that interior I don't think many would complain about it.

People complain about the Q60's dated interior and infotainment and your solution is to give them an even more dated interior and infotainment?

No, they complain about a annoying to use interior, one that is cheapened and not very intuitive with the annoying 2 screen setup, just like they complained about Acura's 2 screen set up. The Q70 had a single screen with mostly physical buttons, is much nicer looking, and much better quality.

Ah. That’s too bad. It’s probably the best looking car that a normal person can afford. I guess there’s not much market for a 2-door coupe.

Am I the only person that thinks Infiniti isn’t too bad? People complain about the infotainment, but aren’t Toyota/Lexus products also as far behind?

Hyundai/Audi/Big3 seems to be the forerunners in updating their infotainment systems.

I’m a bit biased since we have a 2018 q50 sport (not red).. I installed an android/auto/CarPlay system for the top screen (~$350) and the bottom screen does all other functions. Infotainment “issue” solved.

The car does what it’s supposed to do and doesn’t stand out which I like. I felt that if IS350 is too expensive and small (backseat), Q50 is the logical choice.

Q50 have a low resale value since they are normally discounted about ~23% without haggling when new. Hence, they lease pretty well most of the time, too.

Is the car ready for an update? Hell yes.
Is it bad enough to choose the Camry v6 / Accord 2.0T, instead? Hell no.

I’d say Q50 is like the GX of entry-level luxury world. . Nothing is top of class, but it’ll hang with its peers..

There's nothing wrong with Infiniti. I personally don't care about infotainment systems, if that was my criteria, I would not buy either Toyota or Lexus. Regular Car guy did a review on the G35 and summed it up best... it's a Lexus light. A car someone buys if they can't afford a Lexus. That's not a bad thing BTW. An example of this is a friend of mine bought a 2018 Q50 Luxe with only 30k on it for $25k. You won't find even a 2016 IS350 with double those miles for that price. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the car, it was showroom clean and fully loaded. Really nice car, a very torqy TT V6, red leather seats etc. But honestly, between that and a 2018 IS350 F-Sport, I would spend more and buy the Lexus

Yep, the naming system was a fatal flaw, one of the final nails in Infiniti's coffin.

I am a car guy and have been since birth, have owned 2 Infinitis, and I still don't have all the models right since the Q bs. They changed it what at least 5 years ago????

Same thing, I'm confused about the naming system
