Infiniti Q60 Dead for 2023
#16
The "Q60" moniker first got applied to the rebranded G37... my gf has a 2015 Q60 which is the PREVIOUS gen car. She had a 2013 G37 before that (almost identical).
The completely revamped and current Q60 started as a model 2017 year car. Motorola, you're right it's a 2 door Q50 but didn't come out right away.

Agree! One of my all time favorite cars was my 1995 Q45a. I kept it for 4 years after ordering my LS. Finally the NE winter salt really did it in. I did shop a 2005 Q45 before opting for the LS, but that model marked the end of their real flagship car. The M45 didn't quite measure up in my opinion.

What's incredible is that even though the Q50/60 are both pretty dated, it was only two years ago that Infiniti finally discontinued the Q70, which has an interior and infotainment that dates back to the mid-2000s. By comparison the two screens were like a supercomputer.

I know that it came out years after the Q50, but it's literally the same car as a Q50 but with less doors. Therefore, it was a dated car even when it first came out.

The FX-35 is a sweet SUV but unless you love feeling every single bump in a harsh ride, I would advise to stay away. Lol

I test drove the M37 for about 15 miles one day years ago. I though it was a pretty nice car overall. I didn't see much wrong with it. If something not broken, don't fix it. Infiniti must have thought nothing was wrong with it since from 2011-2019 it was the exact same thing. Minus the front grille change half-way through.

Prior to being rebadged as the Q70, the M37/45 also had this incredible breeze-like climate control system that emulated forest air without using nasty perfumes like Mercedes. The car also had some of the most state-of-the-art driver assist systems when it first came out. It's like from the 2010's onward Infiniti just gave up.

No, they complain about a annoying to use interior, one that is cheapened and not very intuitive with the annoying 2 screen setup, just like they complained about Acura's 2 screen set up. The Q70 had a single screen with mostly physical buttons, is much nicer looking, and much better quality.

Ah. That’s too bad. It’s probably the best looking car that a normal person can afford. I guess there’s not much market for a 2-door coupe.
Am I the only person that thinks Infiniti isn’t too bad? People complain about the infotainment, but aren’t Toyota/Lexus products also as far behind?
Hyundai/Audi/Big3 seems to be the forerunners in updating their infotainment systems.
I’m a bit biased since we have a 2018 q50 sport (not red).. I installed an android/auto/CarPlay system for the top screen (~$350) and the bottom screen does all other functions. Infotainment “issue” solved.
The car does what it’s supposed to do and doesn’t stand out which I like. I felt that if IS350 is too expensive and small (backseat), Q50 is the logical choice.
Q50 have a low resale value since they are normally discounted about ~23% without haggling when new. Hence, they lease pretty well most of the time, too.
Is the car ready for an update? Hell yes.
Is it bad enough to choose the Camry v6 / Accord 2.0T, instead? Hell no.
I’d say Q50 is like the GX of entry-level luxury world. . Nothing is top of class, but it’ll hang with its peers..
