11k mile 1999 LS400
My LS400 was delivered today and I started cleaning it up so thought I would share some photos.
It was a New Mexico car so I'm cleaning a lot of red dust/dirt out of hard to reach areas.
Looks like original everything, even tires. I'm having fun cleaning it up. Feels like a trip back in time as I did pre delivery inspections on these when they were new working as a Lexus tech a couple of decades ago. Nice that the front license plate was never installed.

That is a beauty! I don't drink but I'll use the analogy anyway...like a vintage wine, Lexus only gets better with time. I'm planning on trying to get a 4th Gen 2016-2018 GSF in the next year or two, if I can't find one at a decent price I'll probably pick an LS460, which is my second choice

Oh Lordy that's beautiful.
It is rare to see black interiors on these, let alone black on black. Looks amazing. I bet it still smells nice in there.
You'll probably need to replace some minor rubber parts but otherwise that's a brand new car.

Looks new and beautiful. But I have a very low miles 1995 that also looks like new. Stored most of the year, etc. HOWEVER, 2 seals are leaky from age and limited use. Tires battling dry rot, etc. Check yours carefully for things under the surface. I’m sure I needn’t tell you. Your much more the auto expert than I’ll ever be.

Superb survivor. If you would not have picked it up, I would have. Pure sexiness and luxury from a great automotive time.
Change those tires... they are not safe at that age and also probably have flat spots.
Give us more pics...

Thanks guys! Yes I'm getting it sorted out, aware of it's needs due to age.
For years I've done daily LS400 searches on craigslist (searchtempest for nationwide) and others. This came up one morning on autotrader by a dealer in Florida. I think I was the first to call them.
I didn't get much of a story other than it was a New Mexico car and it was sold to them by the woman who inherited it.
I'll get some better pics up. I need to get it on the lift and finish detailing it. As one might expect, he undercarriage is outstanding
