get over it, things change, and lexus no doubt did their market research to see what majority of buyers care about or are willing to pay extra for. and ahc is only $1300 i think.

Then I see they dropped the 4 zone climate as standard? For $85,000? WTF were they thinking? The 200 is one vehicle that really did have a true 4 zone climate, 28 air vents.
since an lx is probably driven 99% of the time with ONE PERSON, 4 zone climate control is not exactly critical. and even if you have 2 rug rats in the second row, they don't need individual climate control.

precisely. $85K isn't peanuts, but this isn't a RAV4 either.

plus AJT, by the time you're ready to buy, you'll probably be able to get a used LX600 for $40K.

first off, 99.9% of lx new purchasers will likely NEVER open the hood.

so you swap something really cool in in 470 details for something else in the 570 or 600. To maintain the level of detail in the 470, but add more will just continue to increase the price point.
the lx600 has HUNDREDS of features and details never available on a 470. you may not like them, but again, as a marketer you know they were market-researched and focus group tested.

I will have to see the LX600 in person to see where they added in place of delete. But I am positive they added some nice details.
we can already easily find hundreds, just look at the brochure pdf on lexus.com

according to brochure, only on lux / ultra-lux, not f-sport.

Well that sucks, the model I like is the F-Sport in black to hide the huge grille because I think the chrome grille is just over the top. The only benefit is the grille is so big there is hardly any paint that needs a clear bra so it should be cheap to install.

But I digress, I like the F-Sport look and to be honest no one thinks the LX is some sporty handling SUV so I still want the luxuries at this price point including soft close doors and power side sunshades. Such a bummer.

I still really like this vehicle and can’t wait to test drive one as I would seriously consider it based on its looks. However, I have a feeling that I will be disappointed in the engine. Jury is out on the double screen and infotainment so I will have to see for myself.

They won't reduce the cost of the clear bra because of the big grill.

I was half joking based on this pic (but also half serious/hoping too). That grille looks ridiculous and I am one of the few here that actually likes the spindle grille for the most part.

I like the F Sport grill, but that’s about it. Don’t really like the other grill options.

It won't look as ridiculous in person, that picture is dead on and wide angle which pronounces the grille.

Lexus std door is already nice, much nicer than German's. We can't even get soft closing option on the X5 and std door closes like it wasn't completely closed. Even the five year old RX's door closes better.

Yeah the grille is huge but overall looks a lot better than some on new bimmers and audi. Some of these look way out of proportion. Somehow people don't seem to complain about those but keep drilling the Lexus grille.

I actually like the standard grill, a lot. Both grilles. Truck is very sharp.

Agreed. The sound of the LX door closing is so good. Notch above most other Lexus models.

Reviewers don’t bash the grill much, as there are much worse implementations out there. Instead of hating it, they don’t mind it.

I agree angles are tough in that picture, but in person it's still pretty ridiculous. They have one on the floor at the Washington Show right now if you go.

I like the Luxury grille much better than the F-Sport's. The main difference between this iteration of the predator and the one on the 570 is that it doesn't look like it's one piece, each "bar" looks like a separate segment and makes the grille look less like a big hunk of plastic. It's also matte silver and not chrome like the old one, which really helps it blend in with most of the monochromatic body colors.

The F-Sport grille is truly terrible because not only is it the typical one-piece gaping maw, it's expanded even further by the black edges of the bumper which gives it the same effect as the Avalon:
