We are not far from 2024 and you still can’t get an LX, at least anywhere near MSRP. LX600 was a 2022.

Ma.
There is like a 2 year wait for the LX. Lexus sells every one they make. Long before it even arrives at Lexus stores. Will be the same for the GX

I don’t think so. Lexus sells like 25k a year of these- they can’t afford to gouge them. LX is a 4-5k a year niche vehicle, GX is brand’s bread and butter. It’s expensive but not LX expensive.

Yeah. But GX is going to be sold worldwide. So the demand for it is going to be extreme. They will sell every one they can make.

This shows just how much people love Toyota trucks. The older it gets the more popular it got. People don’t care that it’s old, they just want a nice Lexus truck. Somehow Toyota can make 15 year old designs still extremely desirable. But I am excited for the new one, just please no standard hybrid. For the love of god.

Lexus would be STUPPPPPPID to “limit” or gouge these bc they are the brand’s bread and butter. Probably the most popular Lexus period in my area.

I do really really like what I see so far, not my wrong rendering though I bet the front end comes out looking at least similar.

They would be very wise to have a clamshell tailgate here that the LX lost and owners loved.
I think the GX will have a far larger supply than the LX. No doubt there will be a solid wait in the beginning though. I'm even interested and I haven't liked anything from Lexus in several years.

it is because it has a V-8. Full-time four-wheel-drive. And a real spare tire that is swapped out in the tire rotations.

Not having a V8 isn’t going to hurt sales one bit.

Agreed, but a good amount of owners will want one or wish it still had one.

The sales will be less than the outgoing model.

With the TX in the picture definitely not. Lexus is finally allowing people to pick from a bevy of SUVs that best fit their needs.

The Lexus LX sales are a disaster. Compared to the last gen. And there is no Land Cruiser this time around either. People are buying these outside of the United States Worldwide. The United States needs a V-8 for these models to do well. Same will happen for the GX

The TX is a transverse FWD model anyways. Doesn’t really compete with a GX

What do you think GX buyers will switch to buying if not the GX due to lack of V8?

I'm not convinced that LX sales would've been any better with the V8 given supply is so limited.
