2023 Toyota Sequoia

Certainly. I am finding that my source information for vehicle deliveries is off by a few weeks on some Toyota models. Next RX is supposed to be November 2022, but it's uncertain. For Sequoia, I am hearing the earliest customer units will arrive in late January. It might even debut before L.A. and about 4 to 6 weeks after Tundra. Might we get a teaser in 1-2 weeks?

Two models that come to mind are the 2012 Lexus GS and 2012 Land Cruiser/LX570. If that looks weird, it's because there was no 2012 model year for either of those. Went straight from 2011 to 2013. I don't recall if the 2011 earthquake and tsunami caused that or what.

That's awfully early for a 2023 Model, not saying it hasn't been done before. I think the 2022 MY has been on the website for a month or so now.

I call that "cheating" and hate when automakers do that, because it's marketing nonsense meant to overcome a belated release.
Anyway here is why I state this.
The 2022 Sequoia arrived pretty early, in anticipation of the redesign. I believe 2022 Sequoia ordering has closed as well now. Very weird how under wraps this has been kept by Toyota, as no one outside of the company knows what it looks like down the detail. It has been mentioned for 2 years now, but not much is known. Definitely we should hear something next month.

Great memory, as I always think about those. The GS itself was actually delayed and was supposed to be a 2012 model, but ended up as a MY 2013 in February 2012. The LX I think was around March 2012? Hard to recall, but a lot of Spindle Grille refreshes were rushed in early 2012, to parallel GS. Toyota committed to that design motif starting in 2010, but it took some 2 years for it to appear in production cars.

I'm excited to see what the Sequoia turns out to be. I expect it to push further upmarket with the Land Cruiser vacancy and the need to make room for the Grand Highlander. TRD Pro and Platinum models should crest the 80k mark.
The Pro model semi-interests me because of the potential. I own a '20 LC200 and am very fond of it, but I've heard rumblings that this Sequoia will be much improved and quite competitive. The have quite a bit of room to take a swing here.
Whatever the GX550 becomes will have my attention as well.

Pole Position
went to look at the current sequoia the interior was such a turn off, added a cargo box to the lx and called it a day. I want space and a Lexus/toyota SUV; minivans don't cut it as I actually the SUV as it needs to be used.
hopefully the new seq is pretty good

Ah, I see. That is the classic pattern of a new generation vehicle incoming--Spring CY21 order dates for a MY22 vehicle.

Well here it is, hiding in Plano. Toyota has no interest in anyone seeing this, so no staged spy shots yet, only random sightings it seems. So late in the game though.
