Yeah. Funny since my gen Sequoia is amazing for carrying/doing literally anything and outclasses the domestics of those years with ease. It somehow can fit stuff that you normally need a real van to carry like say, 10 full sheets of plywood etc without harming the interior at all. The power fold seats are just excellent and they are able to actually seat full size people properly, the 2nd row also folds totally flat as does the console itself back there even in the top trim like mine. Now it's 100% the other way around.

Maxed out plus all dealer options. That's how we used to buy cars up until I got to master tech level of skill.....I will admit the dealer nosecone clearbra is actually worth the $1000 they asked for. In silver of course since that's the family color with black as the off option.

they went that way with Sienna which is not that great to drive, underpowered to the older v6 it replaced. I think we need to find a balance with mpg and HP which I think this sequoia is trying.

10:45 just says it all. What a terrible design

great looking SUV. Lovely paint job. Nice interior…but meh. 6200lb curb weight. Outgoing model was a far superior design

The first and second generation had full time 4WD. It has been deleted now. Toyota trucks and SUVs never did auto 4WD. But they did offer the full time 4WD that could actually be turned off and left in 2WD. The Sequoia/4R V6 (03-09) full time 4WD system was just slightly different than the 4R V8, 4R V6 (2010-present) Land Cruiser, GX and LX that lacked the 2WD disconnect feature. New Sequoia is basic part time 4WD. Terrible

Part-time 4WD, while archaic and inflexible, costs less to produce than other types of 4WD/AWD. However, for any contemporary vehicle to still be using it today is inane. Even the long-holdout Jeep Wrangler now offers a system that can also be used on dry pavement....part-time systems are used only off-road and on pavement with slick surfaces that let the tires slip going around a corner.

All of a sudden that old 5.7 doesn’t look so bad. The old one has a full time 4WD feature. Independent rear suspension. More interior space. More cargo.

“Ride quality is absolute horse crap”

Sad to see Toyota do such a poor effort. They claim it would have been great 10 years ago

I saw a clip from an owner. Didn’t know this one has semi autopilot. That’s awesome. I don’t think the new lx has this feature, right?
