It would make a lousy livery vehicle

It doesn’t do anything well. Everything is a compromise.

Looks midsize in the background of the Chevrolet

I wouldn't think twice if it were a choice between a Suburban and this Sequoia, GM hands down.

Same. Or if it were a choice between an Expedition and this or a Grand Wagoneer or this.

Guess I'd take it over an Armada though?

Isn't the Sequoia more of a competitor to the Tahoe, price & size-wise?

I didn't like the first two I saw but a Capstone drove by me and it looked great. Same with Tundras, Capstones look as nice as any 1/2 ton out there IMO. Toyota REALLY nailed the rear.

I don't think it's harsh at all. With all its shortcomings I would rate it 2 stars at best.

Agree, 80 grand for no auto 4wd alone kills it off the bat. That's unacceptable.

Saw the new Sequoia TRD PRO

Been a Toyota fan my whole life. Really love body on frame SUVs from Toyota.

By FAR the new Sequoia is the worst interior I have seen since the General Motors crap from the 1990s.

Awful….people next to us cut up the interior as it is so plasticky. Cheap feeling. And sadly unfinished.

Honestly. I can’t believe this thing is being sold.

If the cargo was better thought out, then maybe it deserves a pass. But the materials are just awful.

It simply blows my mind that this thing was approved

His technical breakdown is great

still has a old school starter despite being a hybrid (used only sometimes)
shifter cable
3 radiators
3 cooling systems
mechanical but electronic controlled fan

made like a German car

What is wrong with this company?

Can you be any cheaper?

no independent rear suspension when all other competitors have moved to it is a death sentence for this SUV

How on earth could Toyota not put a full-size spare on such an expensive vehicle?! Nevermind the engine, the awful cargo configuration, the cheap horrible materials, and everything else about it. What's the cost difference between the donut and a real spare? Barely anything I'm sure. That's the ultimate sign of cost-cutting.
