‘I don’t agree. The price went up. The interior is pathetic, both materials and finish.

Doubt it, they knew full well what they were compromising on. These can't be oops. They're just banking on their sheeple not caring.

Cut-rate interiors have been a significant Toyota weak point for years...not necessarily in all of, but in the majority of their American-market products. It is just one area where the company compensates for what they spend on refined, reliable, and nearly bullet-proof drivetrains.

No way. Some material are better. But when they are bad…they are really really really bad.

see where it says hard..that part is so cheap..didn’t even go across fully. There is so much chintzy parts. For $90,000. And the fit and finish is so bad.

Honestly, this is the worst interior by Toyota since maybe the 80s..at least in build quality and assembly

In the outgoing Sequoia, literally EVERYTHING was hard plastic. I didn't think the new one was nearly as bad as you did. An equal to the domestic vehicles? Absolutely not I agree. A Tahoe/etc is much nicer inside.

I've never been a fan of Toyota's interiors to be honest. I remember my dad's 99 Siena had the most brittle interior pieces I've ever seen in a car. Door handles broke so easily in that thing.

Just got the Platinum today. initial hot takes, that rear solid axle is a major deal breaker. Wife asked if the car was broken. Rear end crashes down in even softest of speed humps we have in our area. Jarring to say the least. Wonder what the rest of the week with the big tree will bring

wait a second, you bought a Sequoia but the rear solid axle is a deal breaker? Did you not test drive it first? If it’s a deal breaker are you going to sell it?

He's an auto journalist and was given the car to test drive for a week and review.

Please provide details on the cargo space or lack thereof compared to the outgoing model.

Sequoia went from 120 cubic feet in the interior to 86.9 2nd rows seats that don’t go for/aft. Weight went up as well because of the battery. No full time 4WD feature option like the 1st and 2nd Gen. And pathetic interior materials, quality and fit and and finish. The new Sequoia truly is an awful vehicle.
