yes but how do you really feel?
actually watching those videos... interior is great imo, and exterior looks better to me than first pics, probably because it's in a nice dark gray and doesn't have the awful two tone black back end. it does still have a dumb piece of black trim on the sides though. anyway, i guess i 'get it', in that if you have to do a next gen car like an avalon, it has to be higher (old people buy avalons and they want higher step in height) and making it hybrid will appeal to budgets.

I bet the LC hybrid is better balanced than your gas LC only because the LC hybrid has more weight back there because of the battery. So in the case of this hybrid Crown, the engine up front more than likely weighs the same or less than the battery out back

toyota however has also created a sub-brand 'crown' with 4(?) models in it, including this one. suv, sporty/coupe suv, this crossover, and the traditional-looking crown sedan which we won't see.
the crown brand thread was split off here:

one's fwd-based and the other's rwd-based, so they have NOTHING in common platform-wise.

from the press release:
Toyota Crown is built around a version of the Toyota New Global Architecture K (TNGA-K) platform that underpins some of the company's sedans and crossovers
