I think the move is a good idea. Especially for their EV models as it buries some of their past baggage as those who drive those big, giant old sedans are very unlikely going to buy a Cadillac EV.
The picture of the logos is interesting, they've done this before. I remember my dad's STS had a monochrome logo when the SLS and other Cadillacs had the multicolor logo

First, that's not necessarily the case...but it probably wouldn't hurt. Second, what's it to you if I do? Third, they are not ducks.....they are called Merlettes, a term for a French mythical bird. Fourth, they are not easy to even see in the first place unless you are looking very closely.
I personally like Cadillac's name script. They've done a good job of incoporating it into their modern designs and IMO its a nice nod to the old Cadillac in the new Cadillacs.
If you look on a modern Cadillac, its always there somewhere
In the U.S. market, the chrome-outline shield was a significant (but not only factor) in the sales-decrease. But, since the old tri-shield was reinstated, sales were recovering until the pandemic hit.

It seems that the logo changes coincided with mediocre sedans people didn't want, and then introduction of SUVs that people did want. I for one don't believe for a second that any person declined to buy a Buick, or any vehicle, because they did or did not like the logo. But of course, you believe otherwise.

I am not much a fan of the script. But Cadillac will do whatever to get sales. Case in point, Cadillac Escalade is called an Escalade and not a XT8 or number system. Lexus is now gonna go LEXUS on some of their new models out back…it’s a new script/font as well. Trends change and these companies need to keep up

I highly, highly doubt that lol
People don't make decisions to buy a car or not based on whether the logo is all chrome or chrome and color.
