Here's one near me for $3,750. It's not too bad, would make for a decent beater car.

Found another one too: https://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto...393329714.html

My first Lexus, a mint silver on blac 99 GS300 was about $5000 but that was back in 2012, I occasionally see some for like 3-4000$ but they’re usually trashed interiors, or rusty quarter panels or body damage, the car was very reliable and I sold it with around 230k on it but it still had issues, radiator got a crack, sway bar bushings, serpentine tensioner went out shredding the belt, and it had oil leaks from the valve cover gaskets and seals. I’d only buy one for cheap if I had a couple thousand set aside to put into it, I would honestly just keep saving money because you aren’t going to find a “good” lexus for under 6-7k even an older one. A year or two ago you could but they’re all way more expensive now

It's amazing to me how people would much prefer to have a screen in a car, even if they are buying a 15-20 year old car. It's incredibly dated and nearly useless, not to mention just looks awful with the flow of the vehicle.

BTW: not saying you bought one at 15-20 years old, but this picture reminds me of people who do things like this.

Default Functional Lexus under $3000? (giggling)

A) You're nuts. Purchase price plus making it anywhere near reliable is going to cost you...well...*lots* more.
B) In July, I bought a 2002 IS300 Sportcross with 148k miles for $2000. I managed to limp it to an independent shop 5 miles away, replaced the failed water pump and timing belt for $1200. The paint is *****, the body has...'issues', but it's my current daily driver, and it goes like a scalded dog. I just did a 700-mile trip today without a hiccup.
C) I'll bet you a new Kia Rio you will *never* find that deal on anything Lex under $3200. Second prize is two Kia Rios. Or three Mitsubishis.
