Bear Tries To Take Lexus RX for a Test Drive
By Brett Foote

This bear was either looking for food or shopping for his next SUV.

Bears will go almost anywhere looking for food.....particularly a mother trying to feed her cubs. They have been known to even break down doors to get into houses.

A couple of days ago, an elderly lady was mauled inside her home in Tahoe. She was in bed and heard noises in her kitchen, She got up to investigate and was attacked. The bear was trying to open her refrigerator when she came into the kitchen. The last thing she remembers is the bear running at her and the bear's claw in her face. She ended up in the hospital with major slashes, cuts, puncture wounds, and bruising, but she will survive, thank goodness! Bears don't mess around. They attack first, and then assess the situation (not unlike social media trolls).

Sorry to hear that. Prayers will go for her recovery. My guess is that it was a smaller or less-powerful black bear. If it was a big brown Grizzly (although I don't think Grizzlys usually roam that far south), she would probably have been dead before she knew what hit her.
