All that extra advanced electronic control in the new G90 just to make a V6 smooth, whereas the more primitive LS400 V8 needed none of that.

It's not a flagship if it's a V6. That's just the way it is. The smoothness and luxury experience cannot be replicated by even the most sophisticated V6. I say this even though I've never driven a V8 but maybe one day lol.
Otherwise not a bad looking car. Nice to know they are still making large luxury sedans.

modern turbo v6's are incredibly smooth. the sound is different though, the v8 typically will sound a bit nicer at higher rpms but they're all so powerful it doesn't matter in most driving situations.
the 2.5 turbo 4 cylinder in my santa fe is a really impressive engine too. again, sound isn't awesome at higher rpms but in 'normal' driving it's perfectly fine.
i'm realizing more and more though, doesn't matter how great your beloved v6 or v8 is, electrified or pure electric drivetrains are just better. quieter, smoother, and more powerful. we'll all be driving them in 10 years or less, except for the stubborn hold outs.

so you've never driven a v8 and probably haven't driven a modern turbo v6 like in a mercedes, genesis, etc. so not sure your opinion means much, but hey you're entitled to it!

Maybe, we will have to see if resources can support it/global happenings allowing it. I have yet to try an EV that appeals to me, you couldn't give me one for free right now that I wouldn't just sell and get something I actually want instead. Hopefully someone makes something good soon....
Let me know when you are getting rid of your LC

Once you experience the instantaneous, relentless, buttery smooth torque/acceleration of a good EV there's no going back to any ICE. You forget that there's no great V8 soundtrack from your beloved smooth V8.
It's so addictive.....

Yes, V8’s much smoother than V6’s, but V8’s also incredibly inefficient.
BEV’s both faster and more efficient than ICEV’s.
The whole world is shifting from ICEV’s to hybrids, and now to BEV’s.

Honestly, there isn't much of a difference in fuel economy between a 4-5 liter NA V8 and 3-3.5 liter turbo 6. Of course, nobody uses NA V8's in any luxury flagship anymore, and they have many other disadvantages compared to a turbo 6.

3, 2, and 1 cylinder/s with less frictional contact and lower reciprocating Mass are progressively more efficient, but introduce problems of power and NVH.

Depends on what your standard is and what car you came from.
