yeah that's a long (1 hr) review by kevin. i haven't watched one of his in a while, but this was very detailed with some great rolling video and closeups of interior details.

I wasn't that impressed with his reviews a couple years ago but he's matured since then.

Very, very unusual that he and Savagegeese were able to get their hands on a G90 press car before the likes of Doug and Redline.

it's still too long, but it's not as much sloppy rambling as before.

doug is too busy flogging cars. maybe the g90 doesn't have enough quirks for him.

haven't watched a soyfan/redline review in a long time.

To be fair, the G90 has so much stuff in it that a full hour isn't unreasonable. Unfortunately many of his other videos on much more basic cars are also around the same length lol

I think Genesis has completely given up on press launches, just see how far-reaching that RX press launch was compared to any Genesis vehicle in the past 3 years.

they may have 'given up' or are doing less for now because it seems they just aren't delivering many vehicles to sell, so why make a huge effort when you can't meet any demand you generate. and their dealers seem to be in transition. in my town the local hyundai dealer is building a separate genesis dealership across the street.

Its not that they have given up. Usually the brands do large product launches all at once. So you go to the event and there are 2, 3, 4 or more products to try out. Embargoed so everyone can get a chance. G90 is hardly relevant in the grand scheme of things.,so Hyundai sends out a few press vehicles to enthusiast publications to do the “rounds”. All the automakers do this all the time. The launch events are different. Status determines when you get it

Family member that was super interested in the 2023 G90 was just told by Genesis dealer in Atlanta that he couldn't place an order for one. They have no visibility to when they will get "allocation" -- even for someone looking to place an order and willing to wait a few months for it to arrive I guess it has to get allocated to that dealer. They couldn't commit to any type of color options, trim, or anything. It basically sounds like you just have to wait until they start showing up and take what you can find at a dealer. What a bizarre experience. He's moving on; a real shame because I do believe the new G90 would have been the best car for him and I was really looking forward to driving it.

That's been the luxury market since the pandemic. I tried ordering an Audi S5 cabriolet earlier this year and got the same runaround, although they did let me choose what colors and options I would want in case they got an allocation. They were just going to call me and give me a thumbs up or down on what I chose when they eventually got an allocation.

except it's not. this 'big problem' is because americans don't realize america is not the center of the car universe any longer. this combined with general supply shortages creates the situation we see.

want an ionic 5? good luck. a gv60? might as well look for sasquatch.

genesis is selling TONS of g90's in s. korea and probably doesn't need to or can't (supply) sell many here.

Availability of product and availability of the product to be sampled by customers is absolutely a big problem for Genesis.

Agreed. Hyundai screwed this up pretty good. The G90 should be flooded at Hyundai dealers so people can shop them and try them out.

I don't know about flooded. These are never intended to be significant volume. Yes some demo units in key markets for them are likely the priority, along with fulfilling initial hand raiser orders and they'll go from there I'm sure.

Hoping I can get one of these through for a review soon, it is in the local press circuit right now.
