When I took the 350 to SF a couple years back there was tunnel with an animated truck tipping over (billboard) as you enter the tunnel and curves. It reported your speed for all to see. Sign reported a 3 digit number to the crowd behind me.
Yep, fun roads!

I wanted to update this post, my Polstar is about to lose it's companion . After having to wait a couple of weeks for the DMV to send me a duplicate title, the buyer is overnighting me payment and arranging transport, and I will be overnighting him the signed title. Yesterday I took my IS out for probably it's final run, giving its pure unadulterated NA V6 (100 percent mild hybrid and turbocharger free!) some nice redline! I've owned this car about three years, and having driven the 3rd gen IS350 F-Sport (2021), the 2nd Gen is the better performer. The 3rd Gen is more comfortable and refined, quieter, but lacks the aggressiveness of it's older sibling. What I'll miss most is the work my son and I put into this car, refining the suspension and steering (ISF Steering ECU, RCF LCA bushings, F-Sport springs and sway bars etc) rectifying some of the characteristics Lexus left out. Not a super fast car, but also not slow (0 to 60 in five seconds, you can see the run I did in the link in my signature). I'll really miss it when it's gone!
Here's a pic I took yesterday evening after brining it back from the carwash

We had that one and it was a great little car. 2 gen absolutely was better performer, 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. We don’t miss it though lol. Are you now officially ICE free?

It's true the IS has better styling, but the Polestar is just an overall better car. That's not too say I don't love the IS, it was a hard decision to sell it. That said, they are a dime a dozen, in a few years when my kids are gone, I can pick up another one...or better yet, maybe an LC as a weekend car. At this point, I don't have room for it, I have 4 cars and when my daughter comes back from college this September, my yard will be full

Wasn't an easy decision. I've never been attached to any car, I see cars as a tool. I've driven a lot of different cars over 30 years, and the IS350...for me at least is special. I always wanted one since they came out in 2006, and it's one of the best vehicles I've owned and driven. You can't break it no matter how hard you push it. But I have to make room, cut some of the extra fat

This evening our office experienced a power event that affected some of our network equipment, and I had to go in to get things working. Decided to take the Lexus, on the way back I filled up the tank, maybe for the last time. I'll miss this car, but not going to the gas station and paying out my nose

I was like... why is he complaining about this price? Then noticed it was posted in January. Wow how fast it creeps up. Glad you had a good trip. I took a picture while driving before and swear I would never do that again. Back to the IS... what did they do to a great looking car?! The tail is so bad now.
Personally, I think the 2nd Gen IS's look is timeless. The 3rd Gen is also a great looking car, I'm just not a big fan of the giant grill
