My observation is that most manufacturers aren’t dealing with it at all. No more hoods over screens, glossy screens and textures, surfaces/screens angled up, etc. drives me nuts.
I haven’t been in the new Lyriq but they both use the very bright OLED screens. If you drive the XT6 the screens are angled down like that.

But when you drive them you don’t have issues with glare. At least I don’t.
My guess is that the Encore is made in Korea and designed in Korea. So people are shorter and smaller on a Korea. A flaw in the design that doesn’t work for taller North Americans
if it's angled downward from the top of the dash, someone would have to be so short for that feature to make sense that they can't see over the dash....

I have a BMW with the new curved display. No hood. No glare on the windshield at all. GM doesn't have to do that. Look at the pix of the 2024 Cadillac XT4.

Curving it is actually a decent mitigation. And I’m not talking about glare on the windshield, but rather glare/reflections on the screens themselves.
