Of all the German brands, Audi has IMO the best design language currently. It's just a shame that all their sedans still fall under the German problem of looking like the same sausage at different lengths.

Oh yeah, they are missiles as well. Dumb easy to get big power on......my only gripe and reason I went A8 is the engine is very hard to get to in that platform vs the 8 size car. It's as easy to work on as anything I've ever worked on due to the bay being sized for a W12.
Beautifully easy to work on the D4 A8 and S8, literally enjoyable. You can literally swap turbos and exhaust in your garage with basic tools. The 430/460 suck in comparison and they are VERY well setup vs most mass market cars.
At least they put the blank further back inside so they look more real...

It just begs to reason why they even bothered. on VW or Corolla hatch, they do it, but why bother? On an Audi, or Mercedes, there is just no reason to do it.

Simple, it's cheaper and allows you to use the same bumper mould across many cars regardless of engine.
It also allows the exhaust to move around more under the car and lastly it allows use of a flat muffler that helps aero instead of having a "pocket" that air can be trapped in where a traditional muffler transitions to short pipes/tips.

I’m sure most of you have seen this image of the Polestar 5 which I think has a resemblance to the A7/S7/RS7.
Never been a fan of this Audi. Plus, doesn't that Audi have one of the front overhangs that you really dislike?
well audis have a variety of drivetrain layouts but yes some require a longer front overhang, and you're right, in general not my fave but in the pic i posted at least i thought the proportions look great, but then black hides a multitude of sins.
