It's only cool because its old and there aren't too many of them left in the world. I don't think they ever sold it in the US, so it gets some points for being rare as well. Other than that, its ugly and a total death trap. European of Japanese minivans of that era had no safety at all.
I think the whole design is interesting. I remember when Nissan made a big deal over their locking hatch on the Titan. Well well well, someone did before them. 5 lug wheels too

I don't know if I'd call it interesting, its just a minivan hacked down into a pick up. Watch the crash tests of similar minivans from that era, without the roof the pickup version is likely even less crashworthy.

Actually it might not be just a hacked minivan, I now remember something about the minivan being a unibody, while the pickup version was body on frame. I may be wrong.

The Toyota Hi-Ace had a very similar minivan/pick up. The minivan was unibody and the pick up was BOF - I guess without the roof the thing is too flimsy to be a unibody.

Not my favorite SL but they are good looking. These are my favorite SLs:
That’s my next automotive purchase down to the color and I’d have it now if we didn’t just drop coin on a new boat. That has always been my favorite SL. Drop dead gorgeous. Soon.
Older cars with nice clean angles (like this SL) look way better than new ones IMO.
