Something a little different, but I confess I am biased since it was my first vehicle, a 1965 F-100 I bought second hand in 1978 with about 100,000 miles on it. Straight six, three on tree, simple and indestructible. Wish I still had it.
F-100 dash. A model of simplicity. All the gauges you really need.
1965 F-100, 240 cu. in. straight six.
Looking at this and the dash brings back the memories - my first long road trip when I was 21, 1300 + miles from Seattle to Denver in the dead of winter, fully loaded to the gills, mostly interstate cruising at about 55 mph.
I paid $ 1000 for it in 1978. Money well spent...

These are my personal favorites, I don't put too much stock on looks but these are very nice to my eye. Agreed on the S-type, I like it as well.
I included some from each category/type but there is an obvious show of my bias toward massive front mid engines......I probably like the looks as an extension of the cars mechanical attributes. I would have to admit that if it's looks only I prefer late 90s early 2000s flowing/liquid designs best.
Cars are in order of how much of a dream car they are for me if I could just pick one with no strings attached. Yeah I know the LFA should probably be first but I have never driven one....I have driven a TA a few times and nothing has compared since.

Love the fact that this car has dials for the HVAC. None of the push button which I detest.
