This big SUV provides a lot for a lower price tag.

Love that style when it came out.
But 13 mpg (google search ) as a daily with gas in the $5 range???

This vehicle was the best Lexus ever made IMO. The full time 4WD system was even a symmetrical design with the transfer/diff case (but not engine).

Pinnacle of Toyota/Lexus.

This is my favorite Lexus to drive around. It costs a fortune to fill up at the gas station but I really enjoyed driving the LX470 around. They’ve gotten insanely expensive, even with high mileage ones. That was what stopped me from buying one, other than it being hard to find a decent one.

nice! had a neighbor looking into older toyota BOF SUVs and this one was on his radar but he hated how the hydraulic suspension rode. he ended up with a GX460.

interesting, never knew that! the ride quality must have been so much better on the GX for him to pull the trigger.

did the equivalent 100-series land cruisers of this same gen LX470 have the same hydraulic susp too, or was it lexus specific?

That’s really interesting. I drove a few LX470’s and loved the way they rode. The GX460 is pretty hard to beat.

I had a lx470; I can't believe I got rid of it; after few years I have looked and looked to pick up a clean used one; never found. The ones I found were fairly expensive. one of the best SUVs lexus made.

owned a GX luxury for couple of years, it drives like a baby LX but I prefer the way LX drives; somewhat more comfirtable and quieter inside

This reminds me to share a CD collection of the LX570

Photos taken in New Zealand, and I am pretty sure has never been uploaded to the Internet

The level of detail on the 470 was unbelievable. I always loved the rear quarter vents were powered. We had one for a while. The styling was so stately

My friend who sold me my LX has a 2004 LX470 he's flipping. He's going to let me drive it just to check it out, he says he loves it but the seat sits too high and it's annoying. (?)

100LX were fabulous trucks, they had the LS430/SC430-era interior materials. LX570 has a cheaper interior. Only weakness was 100s were slow but that didn't matter to many buyers. I'm sure they had enough oomph to feel ok around town, but I had a relative with a 100LC years ago and it was very smooth but slow when floored.
