2022 Super Bowl Car Commercials
#16
Today when I was heading to work, I noticed lots of stares. A passenger in a car making a left in front of me pointed at the direction of my car. I'm guess this ad created more awareness of the brand

haha, yeah, that bmw looks like a joke. and toward the end i think it 'takes off' with the front lurching up and the back hunkering down... did not look impressive in motion and only worse standing still.

It did, it started a whole conversation about Polestar and EVs in the group I was in (non car people)

Silverado EV Sopranos Commercial
My favorite commercial ever. But hear me out.
Not sure if this should stay here or in clubhouse.
1. Tony Soprano would NEVER drive an EV (this isn't an EV debate, it is what it is). Regina King should have waited and done the commercials for the EV and this should have been an Escalade commercial because that's what Tony drove. Maybe a good way to showcase SuperCruise.
Also, wasn't there EZ-Pass back in the late 90s? Love how when the part Tony lights up his cigar, Meadow has a lollypop.

And Tony would never use an EZPass...it would track his movements.
It should have parallel parked itself at the end lol

I've never watched the Sopranos, I've had it on my "to watch list" but never got around to it. Shame on me...

Don’t go to Bahrs Landing and expect to plug in your EV….The charging stations are not present. They were CGI.

When I was in South Jersey back in 2015 driving a rented Toyota Prius, people gave me strange stares. The relative I was visiting told me people here weren't hybrid friendly

In season 4 Tony surprised the family with a house in Sea Bright, which was a stone’s throw from where the commercial was filmed.
It is actually a very nice shore town. We have a small condo there.

From my short time being in South Jersey, it's more conservative. When I was there in 2015 I saw a lot of SUV's and pickup's. My wife's nephew lives in the South near PA and he told me at the time that Hybrids were not popular. Places like Edison (closer to Newark) where my cousin lives is a little different, I saw more hybrids there. This is 2015 so things may have changed since then
