Sure, that works if you have easy access to power and remember to do so lol! This works for me since I never have to think about it at all and its also able to withstand major impacts that no electronic watch I have ever tried has lived though. Best I got out of the last one I tried was about a month before it broke.

I'm guessing I wouldn't want to be one of your watches

Mine is 3 years old now, so it's lost some of it's battery capacity. Used to go about 4 to 5 days between charging

They won't be appreciating in value over the long term. This is a very unusual situation

Like I said, though, just how long a term that will be remains to be seen. This computer-ship shortage has already gone on far too long for comfort. There are signs that this current market-skew may not be temporary after all....and become the new normal.

It doesn't really, in any event used car prices are up, but that doesnt mean that used cars are selling for more than new cars, so yes when you buy a car...new or used...when you go to sell it it will be worth less than you paid for it.

Cars are not all of a sudden going to start appreciating in value used vs new.

Probably not, I wear them when working and shooting and they have hit things really hard. I am very surprised just how strong modern automatics are, I currently wear a Hamilton
