Default Occasional rumble strip sound

When driving at moderate speed there is an occasional sound like when we drive over a rumble strip. Any ideas?

Welcome to CL as a new poster.

Several things could make that kind of noise, besides (obvious) actual rumble-strips in the road

If the noise happens primarily when you are turning or putting side-forces on the wheel, it could be a bad wheel bearing....it will be ness-noticeable going straight ahead.

The ABS (anti-lock-brakes) computer may be inadvertently activating the system when it doesn't need to...but, of course that would accompany deceleration and slowing down.

The traction-control and stability-system computers, likewise could be inadvertently activating the ABS on one or more wheels (which is the way those systems work)..but then, you would feel it in the car's motion or pulling to one side.

Driving in or near construction areas, you could be hearing the muffled noise of a jack-hammer through the car's sound-insulation. Those jack hammers can make a LOT of noise....and even luxury vehicles can't muffle it all out.
