In this Forbes article are 15 vehicle models that are still running after 200,000 miles. While Lexus isn't mentioned (most likely as they are not as common as some others), Toyota is listed in 7 of 15 entries. That's amazing! Since Lexus has so many Toyota parts, the mileage rating is probably as good. Although as you take into consideration that probably more Lexus models are more carefully stored in garages and have older drivers, they would most likely be even higher.

From what I have seen (and read about), some of the longest-lasting vehicles are 3rd-Generation Camrys from the early-mid-90s, Honda Accords from the 80s through the early 90s, 6th-generation Buick Century/Regal from 1997-2005, Mercedes products from the 1970s and 1980s, and just about any Toyota 4Runner or Land-Cruiser and their Lexus counterparts.

Not recent ones, but those in the late 80s through the late 90s were usually bulletproof.....that was when Honda was clearly at their peak. A coupe of possible exceptions were the 90s-vintage-Honda Passport and Acura SLX.....but those were rebadged Isuzus, not Honda-designed vehicles.

This lost sounds right. I’ve seen quite a few of these vehicles with high miles and holding up pretty well. The Land Cruiser’s I always see for sale usually have a ton of miles, both older and newer ones.

It's not irrelevant that a number of those 30-year-old cars are still running today.....particularly the 3Gen Camrys (which I still see every day). In fact, that is part of the Thread-Title.

Our 2001 Tundra V8 gas 210K or so. It's perfect. It will be due to another timing belt before too long; 1st on was replaced at 130K.
I betcha Teslas will be on that list; they probably should be now. The few moving parts in the rock solid drivetrain will last and last.

It is irrelevant to anybody who is buying a car today. The Hondas they buy today will be nothing like those 30 year old Hondas.

That seems to be one of the main differences between Hondas and Toyotas. Over the years Toyota cheapened out their interiors/trim/hardware, but kept the rock-solid reliable drivetrains. Honda, with some exceptions (like the embarassing 2012 Civic) did the opposite.......they kept the well-done parts one could see in the skin, but, under the skin where one didn't notice at first, started doing unreliable drivetrains with the big and expensive parts.
