i'll say this, for what you get, it's 'cheap'. a TON of luxury, no idea why one wouldn't get an electric one of these instead of a tesla model s.

Disaster. This makes the Bangle Butt 7 look like a gorgeous old Jaguar by comparison.

A Model S is a size class smaller and will run circles around this thing, nevermind the range. I just went on the configurator and without even trying, already equipped the i7 to $140K, so it's no bargain compared to the EQS.

Looks aside, I'm surprised at how poorly thought-out the controls are. No paddles for regenerative braking, you have to select each level in a subscreen menu. Same with adaptive cruise- no button on the steering wheel for it, have to go into a sub-menu to set the distance. Hilariously one of the few tactile buttons they left in was copied from Genesis- a ten second boost button.

The most bizarre feature of the car is the fact that the rear sunshades actually completely block your vision of the back window, as Sofyan pointed out. As if the hyperscreen wasn't enough. Ergonomically this car is a disaster.

It's SO CLOSE to being a great design! From the rear to the A Pillar, everything is simple and sharp and clean.

And then from the A Pillar to the front overhang.. it just falls apart. The weird, round body surfacing combined with the split headlights and vertical design elements.. just clash with the rest of the car so much.

I agree. I hope it will look better in the wild.

I see no reason to get the V8 over the i7. EV powertrains are a perfect match for Luxo barges, seeing all the reviews praising the refinement and quietness confirm that. Also, the range is fine, if it's anything like the IX, it will even exceed the EPA rating.

Like how the G80 EV trashed the EQE? Really says a lot about the state of German EV's doesn't it.

It's fine if it's ugly, that's subjective. When an EV is missing basic functions you would expect from an EV or hell even a car for that matter, that's a problem. You are the biggest defender of the EQ and i-Series monstrosities on this entire board, and I still don't know why.

By all accounts the V8 also handles better than the EV and is a bit faster, but that's probably because it weighs 1000 pounds less.

The Koreans are nowhere near the Germans in this category. Not even close. A G90 lacks a V8 (even the new V6 with both turbo and supercharging is still behind the Mercedes I6) Genesis truly could have made a case for the brand if they put a V8 in the G90
