Eh, that doesn't matter to me. Both are plenty fast. If the i7 had 400 miles of range I wouldn't even consider the V8.

Its an I6. No AWD. Given the choice between the 6 and the 8 I will always take the 8, but an EV in a car of that caliber is great.

i agree which is what makes motorola's endless bashing of brands like bmw and mercedes and staunch support for all cars korean rather, well, unjustified. there's good and bad to all of 'em imo.

Cars don't exist in a bubble- you can criticize the parts of a car you don't like in any brand. See if any of the criticism I made that you quoted also affect any Genesis models. Or Lexus models even. Meanwhile I'm sure if the BMW or EQ blobs had a Genesis badge, you wouldn't like them nearly as much. You are pretty much the only person I know who hates both the Ioniq 5 and EV6 yet loves the EQ vehicles lol

I agree there is good and bad. But there is no good in a Genesis G90 V8 because a V8 G90 doesn’t exist lol. BMW and Mercedes have truly separated themselves from everyone as they still offer a V8 and have more tech…more trendsending designs and prestige. Genesis is still a value product. I have no idea what Audi is doing…I’ve have lost focus in that brand ever since they put those faux exhaust outlets m on the A8. And too much touch screen IMO

VW Group is the only German company really pushing the boundaries on EV's. Even now, no other German brand has an 800V architecture like the Taycan or E-Tron GT. Then again, VW did churn out the mediocre iD vehicles and their derivatives, so maybe it's more accurate to say that all the credit goes to Porsche.

The only interesting part about the BMW EV's is that their motors don't use rare earth metals. Which ultimately means nothing to the consumer.

W223 S-Class is available in S500 with an I6, and S580 with a V8. Those are the sole engine choices for the S-Class that you or I could go down to the dealer and buy/order. The only way to get a V12 in the W223 chassis is the S680 Guard edition, where it is necessary due to the vehicle's 9,259 lb curb weight. It also starts at $650,000. For that you get a VR10 security rating (windows are 4" thick!), the highest available to a non-nation-state customer.

The Maybach comes in S680 trim, but that's a completely different car, which even carries a different chassis code.

The last time a V12 was available in a standard S-Class was the 2019 S65 AMG V12 Final Edition.

They do have an S450 we don't get, and can also get the short wheelbase paired with any of the three engine choices. But no S680.

Unsurprisingly, their home country appears to have the widest range of available trims. The UK only gets the S500. France only gets the S580. Italy gets the S450 and S580. Spain gets the S500 and S580.

Again, different car. The better part of a foot longer than the LWB S-Class, different chassis code (Z223), made in a different factory (MBI in Pune, India), base price literally double that of the S580, while being a tenth of a second slower to 60 (not that these cars are about that, but you brought it up earlier). Very few people who would have been shopping a W222 S600 at $134k three years ago are today looking at the $229k Maybach S680.

Anyway, back to the 7-series, which likewise had a V12 Final Edition recently.
