The new 7 continues to grow on me...I think I may like it...

There's a lot to like! I personally can't wait for the road tests. Despite the car's largesse I bet it will drive very well. I'm far more interested in the ICE version vs. the i7 which will disappoint from a range perspective.

I can't get past the front end. I really like it from the rear...

Still would go S-Class if I were buying.

to me looks so dated and proportions are just not elegant to me. don't like the front lights or grille either. so uh, just no for me.

as for this thing...

Never say never. I went from disliking both the refresh 7 and the X7 to really liking both...

That doesn't mean it isn't. Its a pretty conservative car by modern standards. What luxury sedan is "more conservative" today? I can't think of anything...except the A8...

how about this, i'll begin liking the i7 when you begin liking the EQS

EASY, the EQS! cannot get more conservative in design. few creases, optimized curves, little bling.

Winner for the most subtle "luxurious" sedan! Saw a white one yesterday. Doesn't look as bad as the other dark matte one. But still... is it because they can't buy a different car due to shortage? Or people just want what's new and latest?

I tried really hard to like the EQS, and I do like the EQS SUV. I saw it in person, spent a lot of time looking at it. My point is don't jump to conclusions from the first photos.

I don't agree the EQS is conservative. Its made to evoke a reaction just in a different way. Like Teslas have simple design elements and all but I wouldn't call them conservative.

If a vehicle jumps out at you in traffic in some way, its not conservative.

Take a picture of your own face from that angle and see what it looks like lol

I dunno about the two tone paint, my wife and I were talking about that last night. I'm undecided what I think of it...

That giant grille is ruined forever but as with the horrible spindle grille, everyone will love it and say it's the best design ever. Really wish they didn't get away from the angel eye lights.

The two-tone paint is actually nice.

If "everybody loves it and says its the best design ever" does that not make it so?

i see a local S600 in traffic now and then. it definitely jumps out.
you're just used to the s-class so it doesn't stand out. to us plebs, it does.
