Default Need help, in love with two...

Ladies and gentlemen, it's almost decision time for me and I am genuinely torn between the GS430 and the LS430. I will be purchasing one early next year and I'm having a terrible time choosing. I have test driven both several times and have come to this conclusion. The GS430 is powerful, beautiful and fun to drive but the LS430 is elegant and sophisticated, yet it still have the power to soothe that sports car itch. Which should I choose?

A new one. I bought my wife a 2000 LX470 in July and now it's my turn. I'm a professional in my mid thirty's and still have that desire to drive a sports sedan but I also love the sophisticated styling of the LS430.

imho, if you want power, get the gs430. i love both gs and ls too, but when i test drove the ls430, it's fast but the response is no match with the gs. you tap the gas and the gs will go right the way. ls it's lagging a bit and then it rockets out. but if you want luxury, the ls430 is a killer

If i were u, I would wait until the 2005 GS comes out. That way u can get all the latest technology that is in the LS430 and also the more powerful engine thats in the GS. The next GS will def have more hp, more luxury features, and better handling than the current GS.

But if u cant wai tand $$$ is not an issue, def get the 2004 LS430 UL.

GS is more appealing to younger crowd. There are more aftermarket parts for the GS too. If you don't mind a few tenth in the quarter mile and don't plan to mod your Lexus, then LS is a great choice. Consumer Report just tested the LS430 with Benz, BMW, Jag and Audi and the LS430 is their top choice.

I have no intention on racing any vehicle that I purchase and the only mod that I would even consider would be the 18" wheels. I know that the GS is being updated next year but I tell you the truth it is extremely hard to wait when you have everything in place to make the purchase. Whichever one I choose will have all options.

Let's see....
One car is six years old and way ready for an upgrade.
The other has just been refreshed and has a 6-speed tranny and is considered one of the best luxury cars around - oh and is basically as fast as a GS430 now.

hmmmm,
ARE YOU CRAZY? Get the LS430.

GS is better in handling stock to stock, but LS isn't bad. but if you get a modified one, the GS will blow the LS away

well if i get the LS, i will just lower it with CS, put on 20s or 21s, get a body kit, tint, exhaust. man that's sweet enough!
