If this is true and the RX does not have a V6 may just have to go the TX (or GX) route. Time will tell.

The way you described it with 95;5 but VSC doing all the power transfers seems at odds with what Toyota used to do. But you are right.

for what it’s worth…I don’t have have any traction or VSC OFF button on either of my SUVs.
Sorry I missed this until now. Great find--Interesting that they added it that year. It does make me wonder then, how they made it drive so poorly (from an AWD perspective). It always felt like a FWD Camry, you only really felt its "AWD-ness" when accelerating in a straight line on a slippery surface, which of course on-demand systems are very good at as well.. Going around corners, the VSC was so intrusive, you couldn't really get enough power down to tell which wheels were actually being driven.

Anyways, back to the TX.....

Not sure if it was an oversight or done for FE reasons. The hybrid version would look stupid if it cant even achieve 20mpg combined. The power should be good though.

Will it be built in Japan? I cant imagine the Crown, Toyota or Lexus versions, being built in the US. There's no way the US or Canada will get to build such a high end product if that's the case.

Fairly certain the rumours are about the Century SUV and is going to be a 2-row higher-end version of the GA-K TX, not GA-L. There won't be any RWD-based Crown or Century SUV, and the TX won't be RWD-based either.

I'm expecting TX to debut 1-3 months after the Grand Highlander, which has already been teased.

Yeah, it's 2024 Lexus TX. The new 2024 Lexus TX will be based on the upcoming Toyota Grand Highlander which is expected midway through 2023. The TX will arrive about six months later. Both will be assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Inc. according to Automotive News.

Grand Highlander shows next month in Chicago. So they're both close.

I am not expecting much. Crossovers are lame and boring now that everyone has them Make it a proper body on frame SUV and I would be much more interested

The only people who need 3 row SUVs are people with families. Retirees, who are big RX buyers, don't need them. So this is a play for Lexus to the middle aged family segment - the ones with $$$s, since this will be a 60-70K vehicle. The bottom line - its not going to sell in big numbers is my prediction.

Thanks for the post. I think the rumor started surfacing around when I got my first GX. I was wondering if I should wait to see it. It took them this long to finally come out. Hopefully it will give me some good reasons to come back to the brand.

Yeah I'm not expecting anything interesting from the GH/TX. Going to be another big segment player like the Telluride/Palisade etc. What will be interesting is the forthcoming GX... I'm assuming they'll reveal it close to LA Auto Show this year.

Nope. Another boring Toyota for the masses to buy. Being how predictable Toyota is, we have a good idea of what will be powering it, features, options and more. Lol. The level of anticipation from me is zero.
